Tom Betts - Head Coach/Director - Y.F.A & Y.G.A
Tom is the head coach at the Y.G.A and is a well known goalkeeper around the Sussex football scene. He has a had a successful, but short, playing career. Mostly known for playing for Burgess Hill Town Fc in the Ryman south, Tom went on to have a great a Representative career. He has played for the under 16/18 and senior squads of Sussex County Fa as well as Representing South East England, Going on to represent England Schoolboys Under 18's 9 times. Although Tom has been successful in his youth Career he has never turned pro, Although trialing with Brentford, Brighton and Billericay Town. Early on in 2013 Tom signed for Lewes Fc in the Ryman Premier.
In the summer of 2010 Tom turned his hand to coaching and after starting an apprenticeship at Brighton And Hove Albion's - Albion In The Community, he was taken on as a football coach. Around this same period, Tom got the role of Gk coach at Lewes ladies Football club and in his first season helped towards an unbeaten season/promotion into the Fa womens Premier league. A year after He had finished his youth career with the county Fa, Tom was appointed as the Sussex Reps under 16/18 squads, Sussex Schools and Burgess Hill Town youth Gk Coach. Tom will work at most of our academies and south coast summer courses.
